Rachel Berenson Perry has published many articles in the American Art Review and Traces of Indiana and Midwestern History (Indiana Historical Society). She wrote T. C. Steele and the Society of Western Artists: 1896-1914 (I.U. Press, 2009); “An American Art Colony,” introduction to The Artists of Brown County by Lyn Letsinger-Miller (I.U. Press, 1994); the introductory essay and ten artist biographies for Painting Indiana II: The Changing Face of Agriculture (I.U. Press, 2007); and published Children From the Hills: The Life and Work of Ada Walter Shulz (Artist Colony Inn and Press, 2001). She has also written articles for Southwest Art, Plein Air Magazine, and South magazine, as well as more than 60 interviews with artists for a local monthly, Our Brown County.
